The main difference between stainless steel and carbon steel is that stainless steel has a chromium oxide layer providing excellent corrosion resistance which is not present in carbon steel.  Stainless steel is preferred in consumer applications or where visible in construction projects while carbon steel is preferred in manufacturing and when hidden from view. Stainless steel has less thermal conductivity than carbon steel. High carbon grades of steel help to retain strength at extreme temperatures.  Stucchi’s technical team will help you decide which quick coupler is right for your application.
