Components used in hydraulic circuits are exposed to hydraulic pressure, and must be rated to safely handle that pressure. In this video, we’ll explain what working pressure and burst pressure mean, and how to understand and estimate these ratings. Every Stucchi product will list the working pressure and burst pressure ratings on the website and in our catalog.

Both working pressure and burst pressure ratings may be different depending on the coupler gender and connection state. Typically, there are 3 pressure ratings for quick connects. All three conditions should be considered when selecting a quick connect:

  • Female disconnected
  • Male disconnected
  • Female and Male Connected
